Human Design–informed yoga is an approach to yoga that honors individuality—recognizing that people experience energy, movement, rest, and engagement differently. Rather than offering one fixed way to practice, this approach emphasizes choice, pacing, and self-awareness, creating space for students to listen inward and respond to what feels supportive.
Human Design offers a framework for understanding natural energy patterns and rhythms. When applied to yoga, it encourages practices that feel aligned rather than forced. You don’t need to know your Human Design chart to benefit—this lens simply helps create a more inclusive and responsive environment.
In Human Design–informed yoga classes, you may notice:
Human Design identifies five energy types, each with different needs when it comes to movement, rest, and engagement. At Lighthouse Healing, these differences inform how classes are paced, cued, and structured—without labeling or expectation.
Generators & Manifesting Generators
Often benefit from consistent movement and clear structure. Flowing sequences, repetition, and purposeful engagement can feel grounding and satisfying, especially when paired with awareness and breath.
Projectors
May thrive with slower pacing, spacious transitions, and permission to pause. Practices that emphasize observation, choice, and intentional rest help support energy sustainability and nervous system regulation.
Manifestors
Often benefit from freedom and autonomy within practice. Being invited to move intuitively, explore variations, or rest as needed can help maintain a sense of agency and ease.
Reflectors
Are often highly sensitive to environment and group energy. Gentle pacing, restorative practices, and moments of stillness can support integration and a sense of safety.
These descriptions are offered as gentle reflections, not rules. Many people will resonate with aspects of more than one type, and needs can change day to day. Human Design–informed yoga simply acknowledges that difference is natural—and that yoga can be a place where those differences are respected.
At Lighthouse Healing, Human Design–informed yoga is not about doing more or getting it right. It’s about developing a relationship with yourself that is rooted in awareness, trust, and compassion. By honoring your unique energy and pacing, yoga becomes a practice of connection rather than performance—and a way to gently guide yourself back home.
